the study of food and how our bodies use food as fuel for growth and daily
activities.

Nutrition is the science of foods and the nutrients they contain. Nutrition
includes the study of the nutrients in our body and includes ingestion, digestion,
absorption, transport, metabolism and excretion.

The macronutrients in our body include proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. The
micronutrients are the vitamins and minerals that we need to be healthy.
