be incompletely digested leading to arthiritis, headaches and allergies.
The carbohydrates provide energy to our body. It is best to eat food low in refined processed sugar like
grains (whole wheat, barley, rye, oats, brown rice), root vegetables, pulses (lentils, peas, beans). If you
eat high sugar foods like cakes, biscuits, puddings, sweets and fizzy drinks this may lead to obesity,
diabetes, tooth decay, depression, cardiovascular diseases or mood swings.
The fats can be saturated and unsaturated. Eating too much saturated fat like butter, animal fat or coconut
oil can cause heart disease, weight gain or raised cholesterol level.
Unsaturated fats can be monounsaturated like olive oil, avocado and polyunsaturated like vegetable oil,
nuts, seeds or oily fish. They both are regarded as healthy.
The minerals are inorganic substances that perform many functions throughout our body and can be obtain
from wholegrains, pulses, eggs, red meat. Some of the most important minerals are: calcium, iron,
magnesium, potassium, zinc, phosphorus.
The vitamins are organic substances essential for our healthy living which can be obtain from food from a
healthy balanced diet. The main vitamins: A, B complex, C, E, K and Folic acid.
The fibre is very helpful for alleviating constipation. It is present in vegetables, fruits, pulses, seeds, nuts
and cereals. A high-fibre diet is very important to keep your body healthy.
The water is essential to keep our bodily functions working properly. Water removes the waste, regulates
our body remperature and prevents constipation. At least 6 to 8 glasses of water should be drink daily.
The oxygen is the precious gift to us to sustain the life.
The essential food you would eat while detoxifying your body are:
fruits, vegetables, seaweeds, grains, nuts, seeds, cold-pressed oil, herbs, spices, fish.
The essential drinks you would have during the detox are:
water, pure fruit juice, pure vegetable juice, smoothies, herbs tea and green tea.

Detox Summary:
1) Start a day with a glass of warm water with lemon squeezed or with one tablespoon of apple cider
vinegar (you can add one teaspoon of honey),
2) Drink at least 2 liters of water daily,
3) Drink one glass of pure fruit juice or one glass of vegetable juice a day,
4) Choose your healthy snacks like smoothies, fresh or dry fruits, nuts, seeds,
5) Use herbs and spices instead of salt,
6) Try to eat one portion of sea vegetables once a day,
7) Make 3 healthy and delicious meals every day, choosing the permitted food,
8) Eat minimum of 3 portions of fruit daily,
9) Eat minimum of 3 portions of vegetables daily,
10)Eat at least 1 portion of grains every day,
11)Eat at least one portion of non-dairy food daily (goats' or sheep's milk, almond milk, oat milk, soya
milk/cheese, rice milk, mozzarella cheese),
