Japan to pump $5.7m into human resource training

HA NOI — The Japanese Government will provide the Vietnamese Government with non-
refundable aid of US$5.7
million to continue an established project on human resource training.
A ceremony was held in Ha Noi to exchange a commitment note between the Japanese
Ambassador to Viet Nam
Hattori Norio and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Minh Hien.
The project will focus on training young Vietnamese administrative staff at the master level in
Japan. This is the sixth
year the two countries have undertaken the project.
Hattori said the project aims to strengthen co-operation on education between the two countries
as well as improve
Viet Nam’s socio-economic development. He also hopes Japan’s and Viet Nam’s friendly
relationship in general would
be further developed.
Dubai Institute for Human Resource Development (DIHRD) recently organised a series of training
sessions for
Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) employees
The courses aimed to enhance the skills of the 75 participants and to acquaint them with criteria
for excellence.
Mustafa Al Marzooqi, DHCC Senior Operations Manager said, 'The Dubai Healthcare City is
currently working on
building complete systems and processes following world standards for quality management in
healthcare and the
overall safety of the environment.
"The Dubai Institute for Human Resource Development is an ideal training centre for DHCC
employees. It can
organise a series of courses to upgrade their skills and emphasise the importance of
understanding the concept of
quality and the role it plays in achieving the overall strategy of DHCC,' Al Marzouqi added.
Khaled Al Johari, Acting Chief Executive Officer at DIHRD stated that: 'We at the Dubai Institute
for Human Resource
Development are committed to strengthening our ties with various government and private
institutions to help improve
their performance and enhance the skills of their human resources and prepare them to play a
major role in the
development of the society.
The programme featured lecturer Ann Seem, freelance consultant and expert in quality
management who has worked
in many reputed international companies such as Baywater and KPMG. She was in charge of
business development
and consultation programmes.
